Development and Validation of a Distance Education Course on the Humanization of Birth from the Perspective of Neonatal Ca

Here are the same rules defined in the Portuguese abstract but written in English. The present article describes the rigorous development and validation process of an asynchronous Distance Education (DL) course, titled “Science and Love to Birth: A New Look at Childbirth and Newborn Reception”. The study is justified by the persistent excessive medicalization of childbirth and the neglect of the emotional and physiological needs of the newborn (NB), a phenomenon culminating in neonatal violence. The central objective was to design and validate an educational technology capable of empowering pregnant women and families for informed advocacy, demanding safe and respectful neonatal care. The methodological design included course conception based on Instructional Design (ID), production of video lessons, and content validation. Validation was performed by a panel of expert judges (healthcare professionals and educational designers) and the target audience (pregnant women and families). The results attested to the product's excellence, achieving a Content Validity Index (CVI) of 1.00 across all evaluated domains. The discussion deepens the role of DL as a vector for Quaternary Prevention.
