Programa de Apoio e Educação em Saúde Ambiental (Paesa) e a Construção de uma Comunidade de Aprendizagem em Saúde Ambienta (Casa)

The Fluminense Federal University (UFF), with support from the National Health Foundation (Funasa), implemented in 2018, 2019, the Support and Education Program in Environmental Health (Paesa), in the state of Amapá. This program consisted of the application of strategic studies aimed at environmental health in teaching institutions and in serving traditional peoples and communities, regarding the quality of water and its impact on the health of the local population. This article presents one of the program's projects, which was the construction of a Learning Community in Environmental Health (Casa), whose objective was to design, in partnership with public school teachers in the state of Amapá, a bank of good practices in which the experiences lived by students and teachers could be shared and opportunities for the sharing of learning objects, built in the classroom, related to the issue of water quality in the state's public schools and beyond the walls of schools. Casa's main objective was to implement and evaluate the impact of using the proposed strategy as an instrument for reflecting on the importance of preserving the environment and protecting it as a way of guaranteeing the health of the population. Through an online tool, we intended to evaluate the contributions of educational strategies based on the creation of this community as a means of promoting critical, mobilizing reflection, enabling the construction of new knowledge and the development of positive attitudes towards continued learning about environmental health.
