Aplicativos Móveis para a Educação em Diabetes Tipo 1: uma Revisão Integrativa

Abstract

O aumento do uso de aplicativos móveis para a educação em diabetes é notório, especialmente entre as crianças e adolescentes cujo diagnóstico do tipo 1 ocorre comumente nesta faixa etária. Assim, o objetivo deste artigo é conhecer e sintetizar a literatura científica sobre os aplicativos móveis para a educação em diabetes mellitus tipo 1. Trata-se de uma revisão integrativa, com buscas de artigos nas bases de dados Medline/PUBMed, Embase, Scopus, Web of Science, Lilacs e Latindex, considerando as publicações no período de 2014 a 2024 em português, inglês e espanhol. Incluíram-se 12 estudos, dos quais 42% foram conduzidos na Europa. Verificou-se que a totalidade dos estudos abordou as contribuições para a autogestão da doença apropriando-se dos aplicativos. Em 50% das pesquisas foram destacadas melhorias na hemoglobina glicada. Notou-se ausência de estudos que abordavam as práticas regulares de exercícios físicos, bem como, pesquisas conduzidas em idosos, visto que, com o envelhecimento populacional torna-se fundamental analisar as estratégias para o cuidado neste grupo. Os estudos sumarizados mostraram que os aplicativos são tecnologias que podem contribuir para a autogestão do diabetes mellitus tipo 1 promovendo o monitoramento glicêmico, auxílio nas melhores escolhas alimentares e administração de insulina.
