Social Network Analysis: Mapping Relationships among Researchers in the 13-Year of the 'EaD em Foco' Journal

Abstract

.Distance learning refers to the mode of learning in which students and teachers are physically separated, using technology and digital tools to participate in educational activities and interact virtually. The magazine 'EaD em Foco' gained relevance in promoting academic debate around the topic, sharing research, influencing perspectives, pointing out challenges, and directing towards advances in the Distance Education scenario. The proposed work presents a scientometric analysis of the last thirteen years of publications in this journal, aiming to reveal a comprehensive perspective on its influence on the scope of distance education. To this end, a qualitative-quantitative approach and a social network analysis were carried out to model and support a discussion about (co)authorship in works between peers and research groups. From this, we explore future challenges and trends, offering a roadmap for further research, making political considerations, and discussing the evolution of Distance Education in Brazil.
