Artificial Intelligence (AI) transcends the boundaries of science fiction, becoming an increasingly present reality in our daily lives. This study aims to map AI applications in the teaching and learning of mathematics. Specifically, the research sought to: a) Investigate which AI tools and technologies are being used in educational and mathematical contexts; b) Identify how AI can be applied to Mathematics Education and what outcomes can be achieved; c) Analyze the concerns raised by researchers and educators regarding the use of AI in Education. The research employed a systematic literature review using the Web of Science (WOS) database and followed the Systematic Search Flow (SSF) method. The study identified the main applications of AI in mathematics education and the growing academic interest in the field, highlighting its transformative potential.
Keywords: Artificial intelligence. Mathematics education. Systematic review.
